The Academic Center for Excellence (A.C.E.) provides a variety of academic support resources and services for our students including:

    • Tutoring (In-person and remote)
    • A.C.E. Academy (faculty-led group tutoring)
    • Test Proctoring
    • Academic Workshops
    • Computer Lab & Study Space
    • Additional Learning Resources

Students who take advantage of the services and resources provided by the A.C E. are better prepared to succeed in their classes through critical thinking skills and independent learning.

Tutor.com
      • Tutor.com is a free online tutoring service for enrolled students to receive tutoring assistance in a all subjects offered at EGSC
      • Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
      • Tutor.com can be accessed through your myEGSC account and logging into Georgia View/ D2L
      • A Tutor.com link is at the top of the Georgia View/D2L home page
      • Click on the Tutor.com link to get connected to a tutor

Testing Center

All EGSC locations provide test proctoring services. The Testing Center delivers proctored exams for professors, eCore students, and students who qualify for accommodations. Professors must complete and submit the appropriate Test Proctoring Forms to schedule proctored tests for students. Instructions may vary by location.

Top 5 Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How do I contact a tutor and/or set up tutoring session? 
      • Walk-in to an A.C.E. location and request assistance
      • Contact an A.C.E. Coordinator or Tutor via email
      • Schedule an appointment through GradesFirst 
      • Sign up for a tutoring time through the Academic Center for Excellence D2L course
    2. Does the A.C.E. review student papers?
      • The A.C.E. offers peer reviewing of papers. Please contact the A.C.E. to get more details.
    3.  Is the ACE open on the weekends?
      • The A.C.E. is not open on weekends, only Monday through Friday. But, tutoring services are still available on the weekends and in the evenings after 5 p.m. through Tutor.com.
    4. What is my login to access printing services? 
      • The login credentials printing services are the same as your myEGSC credentials. 
    5. Can I borrow a calculator? 
      • Yes, the Statesboro and Augusta A.C.E. locations have calculators for student use.
      • Swainsboro students may check out a calculator from the Library.
